About the foundation
@SaveaKIDney
Once upon a time, in a world full of challenges and hopes, Darius, a brave child was born with a severe kidney diagnosis. His parents went through a time of trials and tears as they learned of the high-risk pregnancy and survived a life-threatening birth and the first night in hospital. For the first two years they accompanied their child on the path of health. Learning to perform peritoneal dialysis, a process that was not only physically but also emotionally demanding.
Yet out of this darkness and despair a spark of hope emerged. His Mom, Tomesha, decided to set up a foundation to help other families in similar situations. Recognizing the lack of support and community she wanted to create a place where those affected could find comfort, resources and a voice.
With each passing day, the determination to make this vision a reality grew. Fighting against all obstacles, Darius helped and worked to improve the situation of children with kidney disease. Their family story, in the book Purpose In Pain, became an inspiration to many who also faced difficult challenges.
And so his legacy lives on in the creation of a foundation that brought light and hope into the lives of families scarred by serious illness. His story was a reminder that from life's darkest moments often come the greatest acts of love and care.

Konnection Kounts
In the Konnection Kounts program we have the opportunity to share with families more understanding and educational materials concerning kidney disease diagnoses. We help them to understand what at times can be a complicated world of kidney disease and transplant life. With Kidney Kounts our goal is to make medical language easier to understand and the journey easier to not only survive, but thrive through!

KIDney Klub Kit
The kit is fun box designed to bring a sense of comfort and joy during challenging times. Each item has been carefully selected to engage young minds and provide a creative outlet, whether it’s through coloring, crafting, or reading.
Also included is the KIDney In Me kid's book, a heartwarming story that helps children understand and cope with their medical journey, fostering resilience and hope. Interactive activities included in the box encourage family bonding, offering opportunities for parents and children to connect and share their feelings. With this curated box, we aim to make hospital stays and home transitions a little brighter, helping families create lasting memories despite the circumstances.
